About us
The Merseyside Nighthawks American Football Club are the only officially recognised team in Merseyside. We play in the British American Football League currently in Division 2 North.
We hold our training sessions and games at Birkenhead Park Rugby Club in Claughton, Birkenhead.

We find it increasingly difficult to get any media attention as American Football is a minority sport so we look to gain any attention anywhere we can.

About us
Over the years we have watched the decline of our park. Meols park is enjoyed by locals and visitors coming to visit on a daily basis.
As the years have progressed and times do change, sometimes for the better but sometimes for the worse our local park has unfortunately gone into decline and has just recently been stripped of its slide and climbing frame by our local councils workmen on the grounds of health and safety issues.
The formation of the Friends of Meols Park group was the culmination of a meeting at the park between a small group of residents and Gerry Ellis a local ward councillor, along with local business woman Esther McVey
The formation of a Friends group will allow us to work in partnership with the Local Authority, and most importantly the users of the park, the local community. Our aim is to raise funds to enable us to purchase new play equipment and safety surfaces for Meols Park.
